Baitfish school hand painted blue & red D shape

We have chosen Our skinnier baitfish to work with on this piece. They have an individual fish size of 140mm. From there we decided to place them on our D shaped backing to bring it all to life.  The design has been described as a cruise flowing bait school. Quite relaxing to look at with the sparse lay out of the school. The backing plate is slightly more noticeable on these type of schools, you can see how we grind the backing to look like the water flowing over-around-through-with the fish. It also creates depth and motion drawing your eyes in for a closer look. The colouring used on this piece has been achieved by Janine and a small hand brush giving the painted parts lots of texture. Blue, white & red on the fins bring this piece to life. With The rest of their bodies left silver just like fish.
We get this really shiny popping silver from the 316 Marnie grade stainless steel we use combined with the lacquered finish, Making the grinding flow show through. Paua is included on the red eye to add another totally different colour range and shine.

All pieces are very unique being all hand crafted no two are ever the same ………. Easy to install with a stainless chain on the back, also makes it easy to change the angle/direction of the school once mounted on your wall. Looks great combined with any larger fish to fill your wall or create a theme. Can be made in different colours.
