This piece is all about the John Dory situated in the centre with baitfish surrounding him in his own world which are whirling around him.
We have coloured the John Dory with our heat treated technique. We wanted him to own the show and be the Central figure, so have left the bait fish Surrounding him silver, only giving their eyes a bit of colour along with their paua shell pupils. Scales have been engraved on the baitfish giving them extra detail on closer inspection.
Notice the entry point of the fish at the middle point of this school start & end, leaving everything open to follow through which creates a formation we haven’t created before.
