7 Kingfish Heat treated colourings

A school of 7 smaller Kingfish in this stunning steel sculpture will swim horizontally across your wall. All Cut from 316 Marnie grade stainless steel, ground for texture, rolled for shape then Coated  with lacquer and including paua shell eyes for that extra colour shine.  Individual fish size is 220mm. We use our darker colour range along the top of the body/fillet and the middle of the tail. Then the bottom 3 fins are coloured gold, this somehow seems to give the fish more depth to look at. The larger part of the body is left silver which lets the grinding flow come out on display. Colours are achieved with different levels of heat. We use a small flame and lots of patients , this helps us with the control of applying the colour to exactly where we want it. It can be very easy for the colour to bleed out into the rest of the fish. All pieces are very unique being all hand crafted no two are ever the same ……… .  Easy to install with a stainless chain on the back, also makes it easy to change the angle/direction of the school once mounted on your wall.
